Caminando Carolers

The Caminando Carolers are a Vancouver-based a cappella vocal ensemble. Formed in 1997, Caminando Carolers regularly perform both traditional and contemporary Christmas music during the holiday season at malls, corporate events, cafes and at special functions all over the Lower Mainland. Clients include HBC, Starbucks, SDM Realty, the Bentall Corporation and the Terminal City Club. The Caminando Carolers are available as a duo or as a trio. All of the arrangements are up to three-part harmony and the songs range in diversity from beautifully arranged pop and jazz holiday hits to obscure 13th Century Christmas carols. With nearly sixty Christmas songs in their repertoire and their beautiful hand made Victorian costumes, the Caminando Carolers adds the perfect touch to any holiday event.

All of the members of Caminando Carolers are skilled and experienced musicians. In addition to leading their own solo acts, most of singers in Caminando Carolers are members of leading professional ensembles such as the Vancouver Chamber Choir and Laudate Singers and Kallisto. Nearly all of the members have sung on choral, jazz and pop recordings. Each member of Caminando Carolers has plenty of experience performing for many different audiences. The Caminando Carolers will perform in any place that you like. They will perform on a stage or they will stroll through the shopping mall or through the room as they sing. They will even lead a group sing-a-long.

The Caminando Carolers have two kinds of dress available: Victorian (pictured) or Formal Business. For Victorian dress, the Caminando Carolers perform in beautiful hand made Victorian costumes consisting of full length colourful skirts, capes and bonnets. Upon request, the Caminando Carolers can perform in business dress which consists of formal business attire (black suits and blouses).

Solo/Keyboard Act

Miriam Davidson is also available as a solo voice and keyboard act. She manages the entertainment on the Pride Of Vancouver and the Star Of Vancouver carol ships during the month of December. On both of those ships, she leads rousing Christmas carol sing-a-longs with groups of up to two hundred people - and that's WITHOUT background music. She regularly plays her own original music in venues all over the Lower Mainland. During the holiday season, she plays and sings both contemporary and traditional seasonal favourites. With over fifty songs in Miriam's repertoire, she has something for everyone - whether you need background entertainment for your Christmas party or a full scale sing-a-long. Miriam can even provide song lyric sheets and her own equipment (keyboard, sound system, microphone) upon request.
